It's so bad now, we'd be better off firing everyone and starting from scratch, than trying to fix the current system.

Jindal already did this 8 years ago when he fired the entire board and replaced them with John White and all his carpet bagging buddies from NYC

Despite nearly six years of controversy, Louisiana's John White among longest-serving superintendents in U. S.

That's no kid. He's old enough to know right from wrong, and had he done this outside of school property, he could be tried as an adult. Teachers should not have to sacrifice their right to self defense just because of the building they're in.

If it was me? I might have list the fight, but, by God, I would have fought back. I'm not taking that abuse from some stupid future prison rat. That teacher was a spineless puss.

You cannot be a beta and teach at those schools. He should maybe think of a career in grocery store management
...or take the pay cut and go private route.

So how can an entire website know this is the answer but the administration at this school not know? You simply hire someone else and save this person from himself.

This sounds good in theory, but I imagine those kinds of schools have a very hard time finding any candidate, let alone being able to choose between multiple candidates.

Is that a job worth saving if you have work in fear for your own safety?

That is the very definition of a hostile work environment, and it was created by the government.

This thread should also be merged with the "What happened to New Orleans East" thread.

Perfect example of liberals' "soft bigotry of low expectations". Its not the kid's fault, he was born dumber and his environment isn't helping. There's a reason most teachers are liberal and this is the results. Money can't fix it. Only a strong commitment to societal standards for conduct and behavior can have an affect but you have to be willing to let those that can't or won't conform fall to the wayside. AA community is extremely broken, as a whole. Thanks, liberals.

That's a racist camera set up by the Republicans. Can you believe how the teacher assaulted those kids when he fell.

Anyone that's been around public schools or Sonics long enough would have seen what was happening when the big one started bowing up and closing in on the teacher. That teacher was naive, unprepared, and put in an impossible position to make a difference - that's on the admin. IF he returns to the class, every one of those kids know now they got him. Both my parents were educators, and I know exactly how they would have handled Ja'Marcus big arse before he ever thought to get up out of his chair.

It was said earlier in the thread and I will repeat it: you have establish on Day One that you are alpha, you are in charge, it can go the easy way, or it can go very, very hard. My dad used to pick some clown-arse kid on the first week and make an example of him for about a month. Kept the others in line.

If you expelled them you took their chance in life away. If you don’t they will never understand consequences till prison. As far as the teacher, he hits them he’s fired and sued. No win in that situation.

They certainly don’t look like they have any physical disabilities. Mental, sure ,,, maybe.

But my guess is they don’t put any effort into school and aren’t really SPED in the traditional sense.

The terms have changed over time...
Behavior disorder
Emotional disorder
Behaviorally disturbed
Etc.

In short, their bad behavior (known as their "exceptionality") is the reason for their SPED designation. That means that they can't miss more than 10 days of school. Been suspended 10 days, cool. From that point on, you are basically untouchable and pretty much can no longer be disciplined. This is the new norm. I have said it countless times, JBE and John White (the La. Supt. Of Ed.) can shove that raise where the sun doesn't shine. Get the discipline in the school system under control. This vid is an example of what happens when politicians (Republicans and Democrats alike) get involved in education.

And yet, the progressives just think we should keep showering these schools with money...yeah, that's going to help...what a joke!
