That's not what you call hunting. That's pretty fricked up.

Why?

Why is a bullet cleaner than a bomb? And why do we care.

We are killing the nuisance animal. Do you get all weepy eyed when people go out blasting prairie dogs and *gasp* have fun doing it?

The whole concept of "you're making it suffer" is such bullshite. It's not like you are brutally torturing it for kicks.

You are achieving your end goal in the manner most satisfying to you. And my god is blowing Babe to bits beautiful.

Do you have a mass funeral for when you kill wasps or ants?

When you run over a rat nest with a lawnmower?

Everything's gotta eat. Bet you don't care when a carrot is ripped out of the ground, all it's tendrils and roots being torn away and left to die in a pile.

Bet you don't give a shite when you kill a roach and it's there wiggling and not quite dead.
Or when you put a mousetrap out.

You just don't get it.

By your logic, you would be ok with someone drowning a few puppies bc they were being a nuisance by barking a little too much when trying to watch the game.

I just think it's kinda fricked up.. I have killed a few hogs in my day and I'm in no way against the killing of animals. However, I respect the animal I kill and try to use every part of the animal to nourish other humans( even wild hogs). I think it is disrespectful to simply waste meat

I think a line can be drawn when it's an invasive species that threatens biodiversity. Eradication and hunting are two very different things. Look at the Galapagos. They had a huge goat problem. What they eneded up doing was releasing a few dozen sterile goats that would attract the other goats. They'd then track them with radio and kill the whole group minus the sterile goat. Rinse and repeat. They finally eradicated every goat on the islands and the islands are returning to a healthy and balanced state.

Helicopter goat hunting

Awesome Radiolab on the subject

Are the puppies an invasive species that are crowding out other animals and pose a danger?

If so...sure, make them sailors on the SS burlap sack.

Man, sure are a lot of bleeding vaginas up in here. I guess all you city slickers have no idea of how bad the wild hog problem is out in the countryside.

How is it any different than fishing? Or feeding a predator

At worst its a waste of meat.

The pigs died as quickly as you can possibly kill an animal. Thats as humane as it gets.

In the next 10-20 years you are going to see a lot of population control methods for wild pigs that will not be popular but will be nessesary.

Waste of meat? I don't like, and you probably wouldn't like, wild hog. The pork you eat from the grocery store was ~6mon old when it was slaughtered and it ate feed in a pen all its 6 months of life. These frickers are adults, uncastrated, and have been eating all sorts of nasty shite. They're NOT FOOD. They're a plague. This is extermination of an invasive species that is destroying the countryside, not hunting. Two totally different things.

eh, meat is thrown away in every grocery store daily. If the gov't wants to feed welfare people with it then they can start paying those that take care of the problem. Until then they can go suck a big one.

Wild hog tastes like shite

I shoot them in the guts so they run away before they die that way I don't have to drag them off

I've done my share for population control. Whether it's been pigs, does, or bass under a certain length, I've done it. I've had fun doing it too. The difference is that all were killed efficiently as possible and eaten.

What's the point of killing something and not utilizing it afterwards? To me, that's the very definition of slob hunter. It's also exactly the kinda crap that the gun grabbers and tree huggers will use to further their agenda. Don't like the taste of wild hog? Donate the meat to someone. Someone will take it.

It really bothers me to think that someone would kill an animal to just watch it die.

It's a dangerous nuisance and needs desperately to be controlled

Those little piggies experience a similar fate as a US drone strike on some ISIS Rebels.

Both are an invasive species and need to be eradicated with extreme prejudice

Stop giving out rationale. These people will never see it bc the animals have 4 legs and fur, not 6+ and an exoskeleton.

Pigs don't have fur....

New plan...use the military to round up the hogs en mass and drop them on ISIS territory
