Man how life changes when you get older, and especially with kids

I am off work today and have just been running around doing a bunch of errands I need to get done. I’ve been out for probably 2 1/2 hours and I’m about to head home thinking I accomplished a lot today, I looked down at my phone and realize it is barely 9 o’clock.
It’s just funny how your timeline changes when you get older and when you have kids. I think it’s for the better, all of this stuff would’ve taken me all day five or six years ago and now I’ve got an entire day to do pretty much whatever I want. The only difference is what I want now is to cut my grass and get a bunch of yardwork done, grill some food, repair some tools. Five or six years ago what I wanted was to just day drink and hang out, play video games

Just wait... your Saturdays disappear later. That becomes a day of obligation. Everybody you know will have something going on every Sat of the month during the summer. Your wife will commit and boom... Sunday is spent on the yard and your boat gathers more dust.

I use to think going to bed before midnight was way too early. Once I had kids I think getting in bed at 9 is way too late

I have 2 kids and would love to just day drink, hang out, and play video games all day. Only if I could find someone that would watch these damn heathens overnight.
