A few thoughts:
The guy hitting on OP’s wife comes off as really creepy, but OPs s wife likely flirted with him big time.
OP’s response to the guy was one of the most cringe-worthy, beta posts I’ve ever read on here. “You better not text my wife or ill report you to the pool board!” Gay and lame.

I’m not an internet tough guy, nor do I go around acting like I’m Mr Bad arse
I understand why people are saying my response was lame/beta or whatever, fine
However, I’m pretty sure I hit him where he lives
I don’t know for sure, but my bet is that he is married & the threat of public humiliation for him and his family is a much bigger threat than me bowing up and threatening him
Maybe I’d whip him, maybe I’d get beat, don’t know & don’t care
I do know that when I want to I can get under almost anyone’s skin and find their hot buttons
My thought is that threatening the guy with a confrontation would have likely gotten his back up and enhanced the likelihood of a bad scene
What I actually did very likely has him very upset and worrying about who I am going to say something to
When I was young, I DID think I was tough - I got arrested a bunch for drinking and fighting
I did confront him (by text); which makes me feel better about things than ignoring it would have

Did you do that Professor Pete Zah pizza add? Brilliant! Stop digging this hole man. Dude gonna say he didn’t know your wife was married or she came on to him if you go the the “pool board”. There’s no Madmen solution to this - if he keeps on - check him up in as private a setting as is possible. End of story.
