You do realize why babies cry on airplanes right? frick my ears hurt so bad at times I want to cry. This isn't on the parent. The babies' ears were hurting so it does what's natural to get attention from its mother. Cry.

I was on a flight out of MSY to ATL and the second the plane takes off this kid starts absolutely losing his mind. Crying, screaming, trying to climb out of his mothers arms and just losing his shite. He is screaming over and over and over "I want my daddy!!!" This goes on for almost twenty minutes and the passengers are getting antsy, flight attendants try to help, they bring the kid snacks and shite and he throws them. This kid really missed his dad I am thinking.

After about 30 minutes, the mother stands up with the kid and... Goes back two fricking rows and hands the kid to the father. The kid immediately shuts up. There was absolute stunned silence on the plane and then there was almost a riot. I honestly couldn't believe it. Even the flight attendant said something to the lady.

You're a moron of a parent if you don't have a pacifier or gum (depending on age) on hand when you fly with a kid. This is precisely to break the pressure seal on the eardrum when changing altitude. The kid could drink from a bottle, or eat a pretzel and swallow and get the same effect.

This is 80% on the parent. Everyone around you knows when you're at least making an attempt to soothe a kid, and many, many, parents DGAF.
