In a suite on the 28th floor overlooking the NYE celebration and driving a truck that had paper tags on it.
Nothing suspicious at all. Just passing through going to a multi gun competition.

Cops tried to tamp down fears of a massive planned attack. "There was not an arsenal," an official familiar with the case told the Chronicle.
Based on Vegas investigation, tomorrow police will be saying it was an arsenal of 15 guns and the real perpetrator may still be on the loose

Oh Jesus Christ. He had Temp Tags on his truck and now that means something nefarious? Will note this as I drive down the I-10 and see paper tags.

Downtown Houston is a prime spot for multi gun competitions.

You've seen how they silenced the Vegas investigation...
Pathetic.
Pathetic.

Don't forget the truck. Makes notes of all the trucks you see, too. Since you like to cherry pick points.

No where does that say it can't be 3.
I'd never think of someone with 3 weapons as having an arsenal of weapons.
That being said, it's all pretty irrelevant, all that really matters is what he was planning to do with them.

The article said neither of these. Come on man

Technically AR 15s are military equipment. They were created to replace the M1.
Posted on 12/31/17 at 5:05 pm to TH03
AR-15 is the civilian semiautomatic version of a military automatic M16. Military in looks only. Name one nation that supplies it's troops with AR's. But I'm sure you already know this.
Posted on 12/31/17 at 5:08 pm to CaptN
The AR10s were created by armalite for the army but the army went with the M14. The AR15 was created after the 7.62 M14 was uncontrollable in battle so they wanted the .223.
The M16 is a retooling of the AR15, not the other way around.

.223 is a civilian round. 5.56 is what I'm sure you meant. Ar-15 was the original Armalite designation of the M-16. Now AR-15 refers to civilian semiautomatic. M-16 military automatic. Unless you're saying he has a collector Armalite auto Ar-15 in his room?

Right my point is that it's beginning were for the military.
I'm nitpicking

There was also a person in the room next door with a cigarette lighter. According to TH03's logic, that person was planning on burning the hotel down. Better to assume that until we verify that he actually wasn't.

I know. Believe me, I'm just as hard headed.

Posted on 12/31/17 at 5:28 pm to oleyeller
Maybe he was going shoot a 3 gun match the next day

Posted on 12/31/17 at 5:29 pm to MrLarson
Is there evidence this guy was going to do something? If not, this is a new story just to create fear... Because fear sells.
Posted on 12/31/17 at 5:44 pm to MrLarson
Was he planning something, or did a maid see the guns he brought for a hunting trip, or was taking to his brother/friend/dad/whatever?
