Right. My reply was more to do with him saying that its red rock desert. And the CO plateau part of the western slope is, but not where this took place.

Man Found Dead at CO Amusement Park - Was Heavily Armed by SlimTigerSlap
Inconceivable.

So a guy literally surrounded by people with high caliber and fully auto rifles doesn't think we need them.

This is a really uncomfortable thing for some people, but the 2A exists so that you can shoot back at the government.
And to assist the government in national defense.

you guys do realize that when the 2A was written, people were using muskets for frick's sake? Obama ain't coming for your guns. Let's just make it a tad more difficult for psychos to get their hands on an AR. Like 77% of the country wants anyway.
Did you know when the first amendment was written, the Internet wasn't invented, nor telephones?

The government was also using muskets at that time.

While I wholeheartedly believe in 2nd amendment rights, you're kind of making his point for him.
The framers could not possibly account for the modern world when they wrote the Constitution. Strict constitutionalist are insane if they think this country can function without reinterpretations and amendments.

They were. What's your point? They were politicians. Nothing more, nothing less.

That this...

I disagree about making his point for him. Obviously things change, and the Constitution was designed to change via Amendment.

If they think they have the ability to pass an Amendment banning ARs, bring it. Fortunately they do not, and will not have the juice to get that through.

According to the guy above you, that's idiotic.

I mean, they do have the ability. Do they have the will and want? Absolutely not. Rightfully so.

Wrong.
Your post was idiotic because it was inaccurate.

That isn't what "Strict constitutionalist" think. Hopefully that clears up your confusion.

Well, here's glenwood springs. Ever been? It's arid, and noticeably different topography from what lies further east down i-70 towards Denver. They buried Doc Holiday there. Not your typical gray mountain/evergreen front range look, and doesn't vote blue like Denver anti depressant people.

IMO we would have a bigger problem by banning firearms in any capacity. They will still be out there no matter what… sad as it is to say, but the attacks are here to stay and they are everywhere now.
