I was in NYC 3 weeks ago and in the last year it has gone downhill. It stinks, there are bums everywhere and it's dirty as hell. Far from a wonderful place.

At one time, back when NOLA had good paying jobs and young professionals, there would have been a chance that at that hour, the dead guy was on his way to work in a high rise to get a start on his career. (Except he would probably have been walking down Chartres because it was nicer.)
