He’s an Internet troll, he 100% did it to frick with people. Elon is clearly not a Nazi, but that clearly was a Roman salute dressed up for plausible deniability. The whole debate is indeed pointless though—I don’t get why it’s so hard for grown adults not to feed the troll.
