This is also irrelevant.
Nobody is refutting the fact that the shooter is a piece of shite.
That dosnt put him in the wrong about pulling the trigger.

That POS beat a pregnant woman and wasn't supposed to own a gun. Yet it's the victims fault he got killed? I bet if the races were reversed the tone of this thread would be totally different

My wife is from the area. Just a few blocks from where this occurred. Very, very rough part of town. I am going to go with the old man being scum on this one. Not saying the kid was a saint, but he did not deserve to be gunned down.
ETA: Based on the articles, the kid did not demonstrate the means or intent to kill or seriously injure the old man. He was not in fear of his life. This should be a slam dunk for an even moderately competent DA. And yet I think he will probably walk.

The lengths this board will blame a victim that just had his life taken!
Yep! Kid deserved it!
From a trashy tPOS baw who just beat his PREGNANT daughter and wife.
Throw him into prison for the rest of his pitiful existence. 23 hours a day in his cell.

Let me get this straight before I call it a night.
The man has a history of domestic violence. The man has a history of beating up his pregnant daughter's face. He has a history of harassing these teens. The man is not supposed to have any weapons. He is carrying one. Words were exchanged when they bumped into each other. The teen is in school and attends meetings called dream chasers to get guidance in his wanted career of opening an auto mechanic shop. The teens mother is on record asking people not to make negative comments about the shooter. The man is walking back and the teen walks toward him. You, of course, assume the teen is going to "jump him" because...well that what teens do who hang out on their grandmother's porches. The man kills him in cold blood and is on record to be proud of it. The teen is a TPOS. Got it.
Oh and what he said:

So your idea of a blameless victim is someone who refuses to back down over a pointless argument and then approaches someone with the ostensible intention of violence. Both of these people are clearly violent, and neither one is blameless. They both seem like pretty scummy shite bags. You know, the type of people who would get into a violent argument over accidentally bumping into someone. Everything else that you have said in this thread is nothing more than a manipulative red herring, and has no meaning other than pushing your predetermined agenda.
Who said that the "victim" crossed the street, as you posed? How about the physical evidence of the location of the body. Are you now going to try to push some narrative where the shooter crossed the street to shoot the man then dragged his body across the street so that the man would appear like the aggressor? Do you realize how stupid and transparently biased you are?
ETA: They both had opportunities to end the confrontation, and that neither one did proves that there is no such thing as a victim in this situation. Just two pieces of trash that nearly took each other out while making the world more violent for the rest of us.

Really? Only one of them has a history of violence and violence with a gun. Care to guess which one that is?

Absolutely. You most certainly would have people talking about the shooter's history of domestic violence and punching his pregnant daughter's face and asking about the daughter's baby daddy. Except in this case, we have people actually saying the shooter's history of violence is irrelevant because they are certain that the "TPOS" was going to jump the old man, even though he had no history of violence. Old man was just defending himself from the young boogeyman.

So how did the body end up in the street?

Cleanly because the teen was going to play the knockout game and put it on World Star. #amidoingthisright
The teen had no history of violence; the man did. The teen may have been walking toward him, or the teen may have just been there already. You are basing the reason's for the teen being in the street on the murderer's words.
Not only did the teen have NO history of violence, but:
quote:
When former East End resident Douglas Evans saw a GoFundMe account created Tuesday for Means’ funeral expenses, he immediately recognized the teen from an interaction they had last winter.
“I got my car stuck on one of the snow banks and my wheels were spinning,” Evans said. “James and three or four of his friends, without being asked, came up, got behind my car and pushed my car out.”

Your reading comprehension is not that good. He doesn't have a history of violence with a gun, he was not supposed to have a gun because of his domestic violence history. The teens were screwing with him and when the teen decided to "keep it real" by approaching the old man as he was walking home from the store the situation escalated. I also don't believe that other kid saying that the old man was picking on his younger brother. I guarantee you those teens have been messing with that old man for a while and he finally snapped. The old guy is a piece of shite for beating his daughter and wife but don't act like those kids were innocent. This was a prime example of "when keeping it real goes wrong". You know his friends were like man you going to let that old white man talk to you like that and egging him on to approach him and probably jump him. Sad situation.

The shooting of the teen? Or the punching of the pregnant daughter;s face? Or the domestic violence? Or the bullying of the brother of one of the teens? Or the carrying of a gun when he is not supposed to? Clearly that teen is a TPOS the man should get off because he was defending himself from some bad words.

fight? who said anything about a psychical altercation? You know people actually argue and exchange really bad words much more often than they fight.
