The recent terrorist is Boston had knives and was prepared to die to take someone out. Fortunately the FBI had been monitoring his phone and stopped him in route to his attack.
I have an idea. No more patriot act, no more phone monitoring and let's make sure terrorists know they can walk into a crowed public building with AR-15 assault rifles at will in certain states.
Sounds like a good plan to help them accomplish their objectives imo.

Gotta love the AJC a newspaper dropping race into this. What would happen if a black man did this? Gtfo with that crap.

It's not overkill and it's not asking for trouble. It's this sort of indifference and conflict avoidance that has us in the big brother / nanny state as it is.

So what's the acceptable level of visibility or gun type that will not offend all of the people who otherwise claim to be in support of 2nd amendment and open carry rights?
Is the rifle is okay but 100 rounds is too much? If so, how many rounds is okay for him to have?
Is the size of the gun a problem, but a smaller rifle or handgun equally visible would be okay?
If he was concealing the rifle, would that be okay? Out of sight out of mind?
Or are we just back to suggesting open carry is never appropriate because it makes people uncomfortable?
Some common sense and understanding of normal social cues would help you in answering this question

I agree with him.

It is dumb and attention seeking but it does help raise awareness as to open carry laws and rights.
It has the same effect as Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson have on civil rights. They hurt more than they help.

I hate people like this.
I carry every single day of my life. But guess what... No one knows I do.
This fricktard gives good guys with guys a bad image.

You best believe the AR-toting heroes of Tigerdroppings would not hesitate for a second to shoot a terrorist dead and save the day.

And really, what if 50 Muslim anti-gun activists with beards decided to do the exact same thing? Would it still be cool, and a good idea to allow?
I'll hang up and listen.

That's easy to say now because it supports your current argument...but how would you REALLY feel?

Yeah, because nobody on the rant would have a problem setting this scene while waiting to check your bags...
And it would be legal. Maybe they could even get a brass band and second line around the place, dancing with their rifles like they're parasols.

There are far, far less douchey ways to exercise his rights.

So I have to ask, why would a terrorist walk up in the airport with a semi-automatic rifle? To kill a bunch of people, right? Not to board a plane or do anything with planes, right?
If that's the case, why does it have to be an airport? There are plenty of public spaces with large amounts of people with little-to-no security stopping such a person.
So at that rate, why does it matter if guns are banned in airports before the security screening?
