Man accused of slaying two Southern University students

As it says in the article, some decent good judgement could have prevented these deaths. It is really tragic. This happened a while back ago, but the case has been recently updated.

Crazy and sad. A guy gets jumped for not settling on a bet, comes back with his brother and shoots up a party where the guys that jumped him later went to. Then someone that apparently wasn't even involved in the initial jumping returns fire to protect the bystanders but ends up killing two of them instead.
I wonder why the girls were outside? Were they leaving? Because it sounds like everyone was expecting something to go down. They should have left or stayed inside.
