Male. A female doctor killed my family.

And as we all know, you can very accurately generalize things about people based on their sex, race, and shoe size.

Prolly male for me. I operate under the assumption that all women want to frick me. Thus having a female doctor would probably get me into trouble.

The two best rheumatologist I've used were women. Both did whatever they could to actually experiment and make changes in medications.
When my lupus was first diagnosed, they changed my epilepsy medicine from something that worked well to one that didn't because there was a possibility the epilepsy medicine was causing medically induced lupus.
Because I was having seizures, I couldn't drive. My male neurologist basically told me I might have to get used to not being able to drive again or live what I considered a normal life.
This was a guy that was in the same office as my previous neurologist who had retired. It honestly seemed like he just wanted me to make my appointments. Like being a doctor was just his means to make a living. I dropped him like a hot potato.
My current rheumatologist gave me a cortisone shot in my hip last week. She did the same thing two years ago and it didn't bother me for most of the two years since.
I don't know if it is a coincidence that these two ladies have been the best out of six that I've had since 1993 (four in Dallas and two in NELA). In these days of LGBTism, is it possible that women really do have more nurturing natures than men?

My doctor is a looker. She's also one of the nicest people you'll ever meet.
Gonna need a pic to see if an appointment is needed

I went through 5 seizure doctors over two or three years before settling on one. Two in BR, one in Cleveland, one in Birmingham, and now on my second one in New Orleans. A lot of them are just showing up for the check. They'd just order an EEG, an MRI, and then tell me I wasn't sleeping enough. After explaining to them my natural sleeping habits were short (multiple times for each doctor), they all just came up with "Well, we don't know why you have them, so just take these meds and make a new appt on the way out". That was after me telling them that nothing was wrong until I had a head injury.
They just suck and want to do the least amount of work to keep clients

I don't care. Competence is all that matters. After that I might as well flip a coin.

On the flip side, a male doctor would just say "oh shite, this dude is spraying like a whale's blow-hole!" and just fix it, followed by a long drag of the cigarette that his assistant was holding for him, and fist bump the other doctors while saying "whoa, that was a close one". I know it's an irrational fear, but it's very real to me

I actually had that happen with a nurse at the hospital. She tried sticking my arm and missed I guess. Then, the blood started squirting out pretty heavily and she followed up with, "Oh no...oh wow....um....Jesus". I had to bring her back down to reality and tell her to get the shite over with because my arm was bleeding all over the bed and my clothes

I had an Indian female doctor stick her finger up my arse one time. Trust me, that shite is unpleasant regardless of your doctor's sex.
I had the same thing happen to me one time. I'll never go back to that dentist again.

I prefer transgender doctors

my primary is female... typically, they have better bedside manner, and are easier to deal with, in general... not as much ego, which is a plus, and are more willing to listen to your complaint/problem....
