Holy shite I had no idea how rough it is out there for kids these days. Almost as bad as LSU’s defense

In Massachusetts and it’s been outlawed for people to kids do trick or treat. If you have the lights on and candy out, you will get a fine. I keep telling my kid, in front of the liberal in-laws, that next year is not an election year so he will be able to trick or treat.

Um....no? Link the ordinance. I know plenty of people leaving candy out and doing some sort of version of trick or treating.

Worcester will prohibit door-to-door trick-or-treating in the city, which remains in the state’s red category indicating a high risk of COVID-19 infections, city officials announced Friday, citing holiday guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention listing door-to-door trick-or-treating, “trunk-or-treat” events, costume parties, and indoor haunted houses as “higher-risk” activities. They suggested residents instead participate in lower-risk alternatives, such as a carving pumpkins, holding a Halloween movie night, doing a themed scavenger hunt, and walking the neighborhood to admire neighbors’ holiday decorations from a distance.

Hope it’s better out your way

Yea looks like Worcester and Leicester canceled Halloween
Rest of the state hasn’t

How can a government prohibit you from walking through a neighborhood and knocking on a door?

But my point is it’s not a statewide thing. Frankly I don’t have kids so I don’t care either way.

We've got 3 huge trick or treat buckets full of full-sized candy bars

Good for those kids for getting outside and participating in the best holiday of the year!

In my mum's subdivision here in NE Georgia, at the foot of the Blue Ridge, and we had a huge trick-or-treat event tonight. Kids and parents out everywhere. Including our 5 yo little goomba. Great to see.

Just finished up on the north shore. Lot of kids out despite the cold. Even governor baker was giving out candy.
