When you have significant lateral differences in surface temps you can have high winds generated by rising air (convective heat) in one area and cooler area in other areas. That create pressure differences which generates higher winds

Karen Piper @Piper K

frick this rancid Kunt!!!

In no means trying to derail the thread, but just found out she’s MU Alum. We’ve had our of fair share of locusts that have swooped in and shitstained the University, the town, and the state. But, I’m proud that the University finally grew some balls and immediately disavowed themselves from this festering gash.

quote:

The University of Missouri condemned a retired professor on Wednesday for a “deeply offensive” remark regarding the ongoing California wildfires.

Karen Piper has been a professor of English and an adjunct professor of Geography at the University of Missouri since 1996. Her LinkedIn profile lists her as still active at the school.

Piper took to X Tuesday with a barb directed at actor James Woods, an outspoken conservative. The fires, she wrote, are the direct consequences of his own actions.

“James Woods' house is burning down,” she wrote. “It's karma calling.”

A spokesperson for the university condemned Piper for the remark in a statement sent via email.

“The University of Missouri extends its sympathies to all those affected by the wildfires in California,” they wrote. “We find the statement by Karen Piper — a retired professor — to be deeply offensive, and it does not reflect the university's viewpoint or values. We have disavowed and regret her association with the state’s flagship university, the University of Missouri- Columbia.”

Damn. That Malibu waterfront is insane

A Cat 5 hurricane wouldn’t clear a beachfront real estate that efficiently

Incredible footage of the Super Scoopers doing their thing and thankfully the weather has cooperated and they’ve been doing runs nonstop today.
