2nd fire near Pasadena has spread from 10 acres to 200+ acres in about an hour.

Oh yeah. They can be carried miles at a time. There’s no way to control it. It just happens and you have to deal with it as it happens. The fire itself is freaky and scary as hell and it can move very quickly. The Creek Fire that I mentioned had flames a couple hundred feet high by Shaver Lake. It’s hard to imagine the intensity of something like that.

All aircraft have been grounded due to the high winds. No air support for the foreseeable future.

Apocalyptic is the right word. The San Gabriel’s are right there along with the Coastal Range. SoCal is gonna have a rough go of it and there is no rain in the forecast.

We lost power about an hour ago. Supposed to be out until about 6:00a. Hoping that’s just bad estimate. Right is we’re sitting her listening to the wind gusts. And my dogs are sleeping in my lap.
