The news out of Arkansas in particular is going to be really bad

Of course this MS one isn't going to be good either

Basically the same areas listed in Friday's earlier high risk area.
Maybe a bit bigger

I thought tomorrow was going to be the bad day. Hopefully tonight is the worst of it, but I fear for those in Dixie Alley with a bright pink bullseye on them tomorrow.

I'm hoping and praying tomorrow (later today really) is a dud compared to the action tonight. If tonight was just a precursor for a worse outbreak tomorrow it'll practically be a new historical marker, and I really hope that isn't the case. Tonight was bad enough

I really hate this month or so every year. The odds of a single point in the southeast getting hit by a tornado are astronomically low, your odds of dying by one even astronomically lower. But it still sucks and is stressful and sad seeing anyone else suffering, or imagining that being your life on any given day out of the blue.

Here's to hoping, we're all in this shite together when it comes to mother nature. She doesn't give a shite about football rivalries

Matt from WTVA said that the Elliot community I believe got hit down there. That same cell is headed this way passing towards Tupelo now.

Looks like pontotoc county is getting hit now

It's hard to say but the much worse rotation is definitely to Pontotoc county's south and will just slightly miss it though there is a weaker one that will go through the county

The more southern rotation is pretty impressive on radar

When I got woken up the whole system was tightly wound and spinning around Grenada. Looks like it veered more due east because initially it was headed directly over us. Verona and Saltillo should be up next for that southern part that is still spinning.

Yea what happened is if cycled and when it dropped again it did it further to the SE

There's fancier terms for all that but the other guys in here are the ones smart enough to know them

Fortunately this tornadic storm that was in Mississippi has weakened as it crossed into Alabama, at least tornado wise.

I’m in Lawrence County, AL near the Hatton area. Thankfully when these Mississippi cells hit the state line they slowed down and weakened to T-storm level. Some heavy rain, lighting and quarter sized hail in some places, but thankfully nothing more. Praying that somehow we’ll get enough rain in the morning hours to cut down on the intensity of the storms later today.

New Orleans/Metairie and what we should expect

Local weather said we would not get more than an inch of rain.

Potential for tornados is there.

I listen to both WWL and Fox8 weather.

We’ve had some severe thunderstorm warnings, but tornado-wise this first round has been fairly tame in Alabama so far. I don’t think there are any reports of damage in Alabama so far.
