Yes, I know. But here’s the thing, in an emergency situation there are ways to pull the gas/diesel out of the tanks without the standard gas pumps.

If there is an EMP and all the electronics from a power plant are fried, there is no way to run that power plant and generate electricity.

If a nationwide, long term power outage happens, we are proper fricked regardless of us driving EV’s or ICE Vehicles.

But if power is out for a week or 2, I’d much rather have an ICE

The obvious answer is to get a solar roof and you can charge your car as much as you want.

if you’re looking for similar book recommendations, the series Black Autumn by Jeff Kirkham is a good read

Agree but some of Trump's appointees are laughably awful.

All the fox news garbage he appointed for one.

A home charger for you EV will draw about 7.2KW

If you need to drive it frequently, your range will be limited.

maybe.

but the individuals who would survive the first week, own an electric vehicle, and solar panels to charge it are few and far between. you would also theoretically need to be far enough off the grid and have the ability to protect your homestead.

The car electronics would be fried. Batteries BMS would be fried.
Charger electronics would be fried.

If you know anyone that works in Homeland Security or any state's govs office of emergency preparedness there are a couple of things they KNOW they can't prevent.... Three being coordinated attacks of coms, power and water....... then there is the small scale attack that would shake america to it's core.

imagine a large urban area without power, coms, or water for a week.........

be like a horror movie after 2 days.

This is a warning from China most likely. They said any nation who works with Trump on trade would be punished

Yeah, no, that happens and we got nukes for everybody. China ain't taking the west coast unless we've killed enough of those slanty eyed bastards to build a land bridge across the pacific.

Come on man is this really necessary? This is just straight up racist. My wife happens to be Asian so I guess I'm a little more sensitive than I used to be about these things...

We'd be inconvenienced for a few weeks while another countries citizens would die by the millions in a nuclear holocaust.

A large portion of this country would experience complete societal deterioration with 5 days without electricity. If the entire country is without power, meaning no emergency response support/infrastructure, a lot of people, particularly those in the cities and suburbs, would lose their shite and become hyper aggressive.
for you folks on this board that never went to SERE.... .no water no life - one of the fastest ways to die.......
