if you’re looking for similar book recommendations, the series Black Autumn by Jeff Kirkham is a good read

Agree but some of Trump's appointees are laughably awful.

All the fox news garbage he appointed for one.

A home charger for you EV will draw about 7.2KW

If you need to drive it frequently, your range will be limited.

maybe.

but the individuals who would survive the first week, own an electric vehicle, and solar panels to charge it are few and far between. you would also theoretically need to be far enough off the grid and have the ability to protect your homestead.

If you know anyone that works in Homeland Security or any state's govs office of emergency preparedness there are a couple of things they KNOW they can't prevent.... Three being coordinated attacks of coms, power and water....... then there is the small scale attack that would shake america to it's core.

imagine a large urban area without power, coms, or water for a week.........

be like a horror movie after 2 days.

This is a warning from China most likely. They said any nation who works with Trump on trade would be punished

A large portion of this country would experience complete societal deterioration with 5 days without electricity. If the entire country is without power, meaning no emergency response support/infrastructure, a lot of people, particularly those in the cities and suburbs, would lose their shite and become hyper aggressive.
for you folks on this board that never went to SERE.... .no water no life - one of the fastest ways to die.......

It’s fiction, basic electronic hardening would make that style of attack moot. To really do it on that level of a US take down, the fallout from all the bombs needing to be launched would be a much worse issue than no electricity.

If you want to take down the grid, targeting the large transformers at plants and major substations would be the way to do it. We have temporaries and backups, but if you hit enough of them in one go it takes 18 months+ to go through the process of buying and installing them right now.
