You were going to be fine, but I'd advise staying indoors now.

Would I be better suited to making my Ruston-BR drive on Friday morning as opposed to Thursday morning?

I wouldn't drive into BR on Friday if they were handing out $100 bills and blowjobs around every street corner, much less a Friday when they are getting 6-10" of rain.

I-49 does real well with water in that area. It's between opelousas and lafayette that I-49 really struggles.

Thanks for the info.

DOT Traffic Info

Shows road closures.

But its not guaranteed that roads that aren't closed on the map are open.

I would think so...But you never know about a twister... I feel very strong that from Br to NOLA there won't be any tornados... Just a lot of rain and wind... Places that usually flood will, probably more than usual...

Ouachita Parish is a total no go... It is a cluster frick of epic proportions here....very few, if any, roads that aren't under water...
