You do know that receiving stolen property is a crime right?

Damn that camera is awesome
How early do you get out there? My friend had a garage sale and said there were a bunch of old people rifling through his yard at like daybreak almost.

What's that old joke? "My worst fear is my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them" ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

Yeah, I'm like 99% sure you are now legally in possession of stolen property.

You could also pick up a universal battery charger at Best Buy. Just take the battery along with you to make sure it fits.
I've given away much better cameras for free. One day I suppose I should learn to use EBay. Better than Craigslist I suppose, reaches wider audience? How do you handle the costs of shipping?

This sale started at 7am (according to the paper), I was there just before 6am. I looked and saw him in his carport, asked if he was open, he said yes.
If you get to a garage sale when the ad says it opens, you are too late.

If you are a novice. I can tell by which neighborhood the sale is in, if I’m even going or not. Most Saturdays, I only go to 2-3 sales. I’m not driving all over BR, looking through tons of junk, bought at Hobby Lobby, Kirkland’s, and Walmart, hoping to find one thing. I pick my sales wisely. I hit upper middle class (or higher) neighborhoods/areas that are at least 50 years old. Shanadoah is 50+ years old and may have a dozen garage sales on one weekend, but I’m not going. It’s mostly middle class, and of the 12 garage sales, one may have some good stuff. Now Kenilworth/Magnolia Woods are middle class & 50+ years old as well, but I’ll shop there. Mostly because it’s surrounded by a ton of upper middle class neighborhoods. I’ll hit those first, than Kenilworth before heading home. I usually plan to hit one garage that looks the most promising in the ad. If it says “Household items” or HH, baby items, etc, I avoid them. I look for key words like antiques, tools, old toys, books, misc, collectibles, etc. if the ad says “Baby items, toys”, the toys are always new baby/kids’ toys.
Anyone else see the irony in this thread?
This dude is on here giving everyone in BR tips on what to buy & where to find the best stuff. He’s literally giving his opponents the playbook...

You still need the eye. Not all sales are like this one.

Cincinnati picker
You got me hooked on his videos and “Thrift Mine”.
They are horrible. Cincinnati Picker is better than TM. TM buys mostly junk, hoping to make $15 off of it. Coolest thing they found so far is a signed LaRon Landry Jersey in Massachusetts.
The show at the end of each video the stuff they bought and what they have listed for or what it sold for. 80% of their shite don’t sell.
They were super excited from one day of shopping. They spent $130 and sold it for $350 (before eBay and PayPal fees). They only doubled their money after all said and done.
I don’t do this. I’m looking for unicorns for $1, sell for $500.
