He did but he knew when the smoke was getting too thick. Chapek doubled down against DeSantis hard and essentially empowered every gay figurehead at Disney to pull the sheet off everything going on. Then he kept going, causing parents to cancel Disney+, to avoid films, to cancel trips to the theme parks and most importantly, causing the stock to go in the shitter.
Chapek overplayed the liberal card and eventually crapped out.

I read the stock price jumped 10% with that announcement.
That jump overlooks that the decisions made in their slide to wokeness are going to be with them forever in their film and video library, and are going to be polluting their offerings for the next two years, at least.

A classic corporate story of fricked around and found out.
In no way shape or form is that the primary reason he was fired. Was it a misstep? Sure and one of many.
The main reason is because he couldn't figure out the streaming platform and Disney lost 1.5 billion last quarter mainly on Disney+.

People didn't stop going see the Marvel films. They were as usual extremely profitable. Also, the Parks is the one thing in Disney that has been doing extremely well.

I think they’ve proven they are pretty shady. But Walt Disney was shady so I’m not surprised. If you look real hard at Disney, a pedophile will look back.
