How did you get this? The loop I see doesn’t show any going to Louisiana.

That’s the CMC model. Which one are you looking at?

If the Bayou sees 5 inches, you can put the closed sign because nobody is going to be out there driving. It will look like 1989.

The models aren’t as aggressive with the cold as they were a few days ago. Temps still well below average but not as brutally cold. Snow/ice remains a possibility, though. Gonna be an interesting few days.

18z GFS run would be fun for North Texas, Austin, and North Louisiana next Wednesday/Thursday if it comes to fruition. Shows up at 144 hours and gone by 180 hours
Gets fun for Atlanta and Charlotte

The 18z GFS would cripple Atlanta with the Jan. 11 round of freezing rain.

I don't like that run for myself.
Too close to the higher freezing rain totals.

I want to vomit seeing the more than 1/4 inch freezing rain we could get in our area. It stresses me the frick out.

Depending on where you are in Kentucky you may luck out and see rain. That system has been trending to take a more northerly track

That’s my hope (Louisville area/Jefferson Co).
I’m even ok with it shifting to more snow. It’s the damn ice.
