Magnetic pole reversal.

Just read some story about magnetic pole reversal.
Says many species failed to make it. The solar radiation gets through during the time it takes to reestablish the magnetic field.
Since the north pole has moved toward siberia, maybe the reversal is how i die.
I take this as a possibility and must face my end.
I think it would be a nightmare. Food shortages.
People acting out.
First thing would be satellites knocked out.
End transmission.

normally the magnetic field (caused by the iron core rotating) deflects radiation.
During the transition, no deflection.
