It could have been from a girl who got it from dude who was secretly gay.. That was more common then especially in L.A.

For decades, "public health" advocates and media carefully worded their messaging to imply that your risk was equivalent regardless of whether you were having straight or gay sex. The truth is not like that at all. The risk to people getting infected by having vaginal sex with an infected person seems to be somewhere between 4 and 8 one-hundredths of a percent. This is several orders of magnitude away from the risk encountered in anal sex.

I personally don't believe he ever had HIV. I think his wife found out about how many women he was fricking and found a way to guarantee no woman would ever touch him again.
This man has been living with HIV for over 30 years. Name another person -- I don't care how rich -- that contracted HIV in the 90s and is still with us. I can't think of anyone.

Now, yes. In the 90s? Most people that publicly came out as HIV positive then didn't make it to the turn of the century.
Doesn't really matter to me. I just don't think he ever had it. It's my harmless conspiracy theory.
