Feather has worked well for me.

Feather blades are awesome. I tried other blades in the past, but I've been using them for almost eight years without complaint.

It doesn't take much to make fun of someone in the second week of an emotional breakdown from a razor commercial.

Imagine being so upset at another grown man's outrage that you seek out a thread just for this opportunity, and proceed to bicker like an estrogen filled child and intentionally derail a whole thread because of it.

Yes, you clearly are emotionally superior.

Weird melt.

You can also stick it to Gillette by buying one of their biggest mistakes. Their old school pre 1970’s safety razors. They made them too durable. Brass, copper, stainless, or nickel is all they were made of. Like an old crescent wrench. May look like shite but scrub the piss out of it and it’s fine and will work and outlive your kids.

How are the old blades disposed of? Growing up, my dad had a razor blade slot in the medicine cabinet and they would just fall into the wall.

Is there now some sort of safety container?

Made the switch about 5 years ago. I’ll never use those Gillette 5 bladed monstrosities again and that was before the commercial.

All the face needs is 1 blade.

I'll also add that shaving has become an "enjoyable" experience to me. There's something very relaxing about the feeling and sound that shaving with a safety razor provides. Hard to explain. Perhaps someone else can elaborate or tell me I'm crazy.

simply chose to spend my money elsewhere, rather than on a company who spent millions of (my) dollars on an ad campaign to tell us how "toxic" it is to allow little boys to wrestle in the back yard while portraying all the dads as mindless, bumbling idiots. It was a very simple choice and involved no triggering. Capitalism is amazing.
Nothing wrong with choosing to use another product not being triggered over a commercial (not saying you were or were not).

I just find it funny and hypocritical when people on this site yell about snowflake this, snowflake that and then get upset over something as trivial as a tv ad. (Also not accusing you of any of this, just speaking in general)

For what it’s worth I don’t use Gillette either so I’m not a shill or anything like that. I just like pointing out hypocrisy every now and then.

Imagine being such a soft piece of shite, that when a company targets men as a whole, you don't feel like they are talking to you.
Sir, you seem quite triggered.

Also, what’s soft about not feeling any emotional response after watching an ad? Are all the hard people switching to different products?

If you ever find the Feathers to be a bit rough, give Astra Superior Platinum a try. Almost as sharp but I find them to be smoother on my face. Plus, they’re dirt cheap.
