Ollie and them are just marinating, nobody with a brain would touch one of those positions because you get all the blame yet you cant physically make them stop killing each other. Therein lies the joke of SPD hiring deaf, blind and dumb to attempt to corral those idiots.

It blows my mind that they haven't properly addressed the crime in a while. But they wanted to tax people for their pets and take down a confederate statue.

I live in N Bossier also. I grew up in So Bossier. But, like I said, used to spend a lot of time at my grandparents in Queensborough. I graduated in 92, just to give you a time reference.

On the mention of North Bossier food, we desperately need some decent local joints, that is my #1 complaint.

I want a damn Southern Classic Chicken up here. FWIW, I'm glad Walmart decided not to build the new store. I really want to know the whole story about who and why of them deciding not to build.

Same. I am dying to know what went on and who got their pockets lined. I was hoping something would come out during this most recent litte election phase.

I miss the old oyster bar downtown, the name escapes me now, decent seafood, $.75pints of cold beer, dozen oysters for $2-3, can't remember if it was on Texas or a block over

nah, they had two locations back in the day, went out of business for a few years, somebody tried to revive it, or at least the name at a place on Youree a couple of years ago but it didn't make it, the name is on the tip of my tongue

Fa real. This is how I feel every time the OT swarms to defend Shreveport

I no longer live in the state, but I would FAR rather live in Baton Rouge than Shreveport. Baton Rouge is better in nearly every way (except traffic), from the food, to the people, to the location. Shreveport has nothing to offer people between the ages of 18 and 40, other than small colleges and health professional schools. Baton Rouge certainly has room for improvement when it comes to attracting young professionals, but it's far superior to Shreveport.

I never understood why they wanted to build a Walmart on a road with $500K houses and in view of $1M houses in the first place.

I heard they were going to try and close the old Walmart on Airline if they built the new one and so the city would lose out on the taxes from both anyway. I would still just shop at Brookshires anyway and avoid all the riff raff.

I remember when they first started and played that stupid "They're Coming to Take Me Away" song for a couple days straight.

I'm sure the City was planning to annex the new site if they haven't already. The council said the old site would not close, therefore, I think they had dreams of doubling the tax revenue. The BC City Council has never met a tax they don't like it seems.

What other reason would they approve 2 new car washes on N Airline Dr less than a mile apart?
