I can't believe he didn't even try to fight back. He certainly would've been arrested for defending himself but damn. My anger in that situation would've trumped any fear of arrest.

Claim you have headaches daily and file workman’s comp against Macy’s. This way if Macy’s fires you that person can get paid.
Sue the person who hit you for slander taking his go fund me money.
I guess once he figured out some retail chains have cameras everywhere his testimony would fall apart where if he lied the cameras would tell a different story.

I don’t fault the guy for not fighting back.
The guy who apparently has money for a jacket but not for a belt sucker punches him (shocking I know) and he immediately ends up on the ground with this crazy arse dude standing over him.
The reality is that most guys (outside of the OT of course) don’t actually know how to fight. He’s in a compromised position from the start so that’s probably not the best situation to try to learn in.
His best bet was to get up and put some distance between himself and baggy pants (which wouldn’t have been hard because...look at his pants). But again, sucker punched, laying on the floor confused...I’m not going to jump to judgement.
What I will judge is the fact that he didn’t take the stand and asked for leniency. Screw that. If you want to be forgiving that’s great. Send him a post card wishing him well after he goes up state.

Besides leniency he is also requesting that the defendant bang his girlfriend. He also wants to give half his paycheck for reparations.
