And that song was off their debut album too! It's a pretty fantastic debut album.

I mentioned this exact performance in another thread earlier this week. IMO, it is the single greatest live musical performance in the history of mankind. And it was done in an era when musicians had nothing other than instruments, microphones, amps, and pure talent at their disposal.

Company I worked for had business partners in San Francisco and what was the early Silicon Valley. Conservative Republicans. Northern California was an awesome place in those days. I can’t imagine going back now days.

Like many, I’ve watched that video what seems like a 100 times. Some have equaled but not topped that exceptional performance. It is certainly special and brings back great memories of my younger days.

Close. Knebworth beats this. It has all of what you mentioned in the Oakland performance, plus the fact that they blew the Stones off their own stage.

Plenty of anti-America culture and counter culture in 1977.

The difference is 80% of us got fat beyond all self respect. And after the fats came the tats.

Get rid of the fats and tats and you might save America

Yeah, bc that didn’t happen in the 60’s with Vietnam or race riots. Never existed.

Yeah, bc that didn’t happen in the 60’s with Vietnam or race riots. Never existed.

But now it’s happening without those serious reasons

Women were less toxic before they tried to destroy the mythical patriarchy. Hence, women were more beautiful.

And the Rebel flag behind them was awesome. That sure as hell wouldn’t happen these days especially in California
