Isn't the actual site of the plane crash on private property?

Correct. Private property. Private equity group.

I had the album with that cover on it. I wish I would have kept it.

Cool. Mine was really just a subtle brag. I think it's pretty awesome that my 20 year old son holds Skynyrd in such high esteem, considering the band essentially died 22 years before his birth. Hell, I was only 7!

Probably would have gone on to be the greatest rock band ever if not for the crash.

Long overdue. I don't think most people understand how big they were in their day.

If I only had 1 group to listen to on a deserted island, it would either skynyrd or the stones. Both were very versatile in their music.

This could be. Ronnie van Zant was a masterful songwriter, musician. When Steve Gaines jumped on board, they were set for some great music ahead.

I honestly cannot think of a single American rock band I’d put ahead of Lynyrd Skynyrd in their day. I still consider their performance of Free Bird in Oakland a few months before the plane crash as the single greatest live performance ever.

Only two bands I really wish I had seen in concert. Skynyrd and Rush.

Skynyrd's music has really stood the test of time.

"All I Can Do is Write About It" is an awesome piece of music.

Agree, those are the only celebrities I can think of to be killed in Mississippi.
