I definitely move seats on SW if kids are anywhere near me...not only are they little balls of germs but the odds of the parents taking care of them properly is slim to none.

I've fudged a couple of times to get SW "family boarding" but never on actual tickets. Nobody typically bats an eye if your kids are on the cusp of being 6 (I think mine was 7). Semi-trashy, I suppose. But, I guess it beats having to sit next to my 7 year old without a parent nearby.
