Lyft wants to know what pronoun you want to be referred with.

I just want them to give me a ride and shut up.
“Your pronoun. Your choice.
Lyft is committed to LGBTQ+ equality and supports all expressions of gender identity.
To help us get better at addressing you, we've added a range of optional pronouns to the Lyft app.
We've also partnered with the National Center for Transgender Equality to provide drivers assistance with changing the name and gender designation on their driver's license.”

I don't think I've ever had an encounter with Lyft that required a driver to say his or him in reference to me. Seems like pandering.

If I was in the service industry and my income was based solely on clientele, I would call a client whatever made them happiest.

Add this to the list of things that I couldn't care less about because it has zero impact on my life.
I typically have great experiences with Lyft. On time arrivals, friendly drivers, clean cars. That's all I care about.
