My geography is a bit rusty but a globe map distorts size. Somehow Africa is HUGE, but does not look as big on a globe. What about the 8th continent (mostly submerged near Australia)? How big is that puppy in relative terms?
lunch = fried banana pepper ringlets, fried onion rings, and think hamburger chopped and cooked like a Philly Cheesesteak, sans the bun. Some sort of relish Chutney mixed in as cooking, topped with sharp cheddar cheese. Was good going down, will see if heartburn kicks in later. As you get old, your gut tolerance for fried food drops exponentially.
Hola, my THRAY eFranz!

If it weren't so big, it couldn't have become the technological powerhouse it is.

Is that the giant shelf that has New Zealand on it? I never made it to NZ. I spent a couple of months in Oz, then got engaged in Tasmania.

No, Donavan says were it is in the 1st verse. Granted, he was high af when he wrote it
The continent of Atlantis was an island
Which lay before the great flood
In the area we now call the Atlantic Ocean
So great an area of land
That from her western shores
Those beautiful sailors journeyed
To the South and the North Americas with ease
In their ships with painted sails

Hard to tell what is real anymore in a world of the interwebz fake news, but apparently this is a thing.
You crazy young kids and your newfangled ways.
(that is Australia to the left)
Maybe that psychic from around The Great Depression who said we would find Atlantis soon did have the gift of prophecy. You got me on this one, It does appear to have a Wikipedia page tho.

Apparently in agricultural land an minerals Africa would be a powerhouse if not for the constant fighting over the centuries. First among the tribes, and then among the Colonial powers.
