In my experience (not a global truth) you get a shot at real love twice in you life with a +/- error of 2 (so 0 - 4). Very wise trainer in my youth once told me "You will ruin 3 top horses before you get the 4th right". Fate is a part of life and and old saying "the time to take a cookie is when they pass the plate the first time" seems true as well.

he isn't one for a lot of talk, but the serious stuff he's pretty open with me about. we talk about all the things that most parents (around here anyways) avoid - including p0rn, sex, sending/receiving/requesting nudes, drugs/etoh, and all manor of crap that will have lifelong negative consequences.
so yeah- he's a unicorn kind of kid.

Yeah when I was a kid (and dinosaurs still roamed the earth) your parents and your grandparents were the best sources of good information. Their friends were a much better knowledge base for true information then my friends who were my age and not near as smart as they thought they were.
