Freaking thoroughbred feet

True Story.

When I was staring as a kid my mentor was a guy who would fire you on the spot if your hoof pic was idle. As I got older it was partly about keeping the hoof clean but part was by picking up the hoof a good groom will notice heat or other trouble signs early, not later when the horse has gone lame.

I just can’t stand how hunter riders hold their curb as their primary. Not correct.

I learned to use a pelham when I was a kid. I use them occasionally.

I was driving through Louisiana to pick up a horse and I passed a group on a trail ride. Every horse had a curb bit and every rider was yanking aggressively on the horse' mouth.

Mine blew an abscess this weekend that I didn’t even know was there til I found the hole. Never a lame step.

I love all of them. And pecans/walnuts. And roasted soybeans. All your crunch are belong to me.

Using a hoof pick is better than cleaning the sheath on a gelding.

I was a kid in Pony Club when I learned that procedure.

They looked good to me. Following it up with a slab of Keylime would have brought on an insta-nap.

I used to hate when the male exercise riders were hard on a horses mouth. Ruin a good horse for the poor jockey who got him later. Human hands and a horses mouth should work as one, not fighting each other. Much preferred female exercise riders when breaking young horses at the track and gate.

The strawberry poppyseed salad at Panera is so good.

Panera has the poppyseed dressing available to buy. That’s my go to dressing now

I have blue cheese with greens. You can't have too much cheese on a salad.
