In and out. Grew up in NOLA so I'm there several days a month.
I recommend you get your wine at Elios, you can literally save yourself almost 50% off of what Rouses sells the same bottle for

Elios
I'll definitely check them out. I plan to split a case of Silver Oak with an uncle now that the 12's came out. Definitely going to shop around on that one.
Rouses is definitely a few dollars high on most bottles but they are more likely to have older/better vintages at the same price as newer ones, especially on the higher dollar wines. They don't move through them as quickly. I've seen bottles of 2010/2012 stored in the cooler at the Rouses on Vets, sold at the same price as the 2014's.
I'm ok with it.

Stop attacking other posters. You're a mean, angry person.

I've never been accused of being an alter. I guess my posts really are bad.
I nominate myself for a ban.

Elios has a cooler section where they keep their higher end wines...and I'm telling you, much cheaper than Rouses. For example....I could get Belle Glos at Elios for $25 and at Rouses for $55. I wont buy wine at Rouses ever again

Well, this thread took off

I also use an app called "Wine Searcher" to track the purchase prices. It's decently helpful in checking the base price when debating wines I've never heard of at a restaurant, but most of the vendors they list are online retailers.
