To be honest. I don't remember much of anything. Last thing I remember was being in the recliner in my room struggling to breath and the nurses insisting I was going to get in the bed. This was about 6:00 PM.
The next thing I knew I was waking up, the room was dark, and I had a breathing tube down my throat. I didn't know what had happened until my wife told me about it all. This was about 2:00 AM.
Turns out the whole dying and surgery thing happened around 9:00 PM. That whole block of time though is missing to me. I did have one sort of flask back the other day when I remembered begging for help. I asked my wife and she said just before I flat-lined I started telling the doctors and nurses I was sorry (I have no idea why) and the last thing was I was begging them to help me breath. That's when I checked out.
