Send your children to Hudson, Central or Huntington schools. Small schools, but quality education. Hudson does not have football but great basketball and baseball/softball programs. Live outside Lufkin. Good place to raise a family, but alot of retirees. Lots of fishing and hunting.

Bunch of white trash just like WM too

West Monroe is unlike any other place on earth. Even the few blacks and Mexicans are white trash. Hell the papermill is listed in the top 10 things to do in West Monroe

Driving through Lufkin on 59 reminds me of WM. Just a bunch of restaurants and retail stores. Seems like 90% of them are the same as the ones in WM

News flash, most towns look the same from the interstate.

Nope. It's still there acting as a buffer between the Bawcomites and the big city.

20 year resident of the Huntington area...your advice is spot on. Pick an area outside of Lufkin and drive in when you need to.

If kids are FB players good lord knows Huntington needs all the help they can get.

Lots of potential for outdoor activities too. Rayburn, Davey Crockett NF, Neches and Attoyac Rivers
