Are you saying every general is a war criminal?

Huge difference. Historical context. Civilian population was left relatively unharmed until up to that point. Sherman understood that could no longer be done. Gloves were already off by WW II.

Everyone call Randy Gurie and demand answers: 225-578-0420. Also email him at cadets@lsu.edu.

Are they even real cannons? You can make up stuff and no one would be the wiser.

Bunch of damn Sherman-lovers in here.

Damn straight...been working for a few years to get an M-4 medium to replace the Corporal Missile in front of the ROTC building...

Just got off the phone with Army ROTC, because of roof repairs, the cannon are in safe storage...once the repairs are completed, the cannon will return...

It has been verified that both cannons have been located inside one of the cars found in a New Orleans drainage canal.

The Siege at Port Hudson says hello. How disrespectful of you to suggest otherwise.

Richard Taylor's Trans-Mississippi Department headquartered in Shreveport was the last major Confederate command to surrender.

They’re in storage.

I was on the ROTC advisory board until a few years ago. Hate to say it, but there were several complaints that the canons were somehow escalating racial tensions given the time period they were used in. People still there tell me it’s doubtful they’re going to be displayed again.

There is one school that'd proudly display them. The Citadel...whose cadets actually participated in the Battle of Ft. Sumter.
