So many of these children are victims of the drugs their mother took while pregnant. Some are born with withdrawal symptoms. I have a close friend who raised one of these kids from a baby. They are a family with 4 children. He was always unruly and now that he is in his late teens he is totally uncontrollable when it comes to school and trying to teach him at home. Drugs or gene pool, who knows? But they have a young man on their hands that they can't control.
This is happening to someone in my family. It is a train wreck and tremendously devastating for the entire family. Adopting a newborn that tests positive for drugs can be a life sentence for the family. Unconditional love doesn't and can't cure everything.

It's called the terrible 2s for a reason. All kids do this
Standing in 1 spot frozen for 45 minutes is not normal behavior that "all kids do"

Sounds a little like "Absence Seizures"....
Hope it's not of course, but there are some similarities based on the information you provided.

I went to Akron children's hospital this evening. A big waste of time. Spent 3.5 hours there but they were slammed. A nurse and Dr both saw him acting the ways I explained. They have a neurologist calling us on Monday for us to see them on Monday. They didn't do any tests today. At least we are getting somewhere. What's funny is we went to our child's Dr today for all our paperwork from the past, and they gave us a # to the Akron neurologist, and they couldn't get us in for a month or 2. Said they have a 8 month wait, but since we would be a new patient we could get in sooner. Funny how they can fit us in with no notice.
