OK, it was very stupid for her to do this, but was it done on campus? Was it in any means linked to LSU, other than her being an LSU student? Was it aimed at any student or was it just a really stupid and bad joke she sent to her friend? How is this linked to LSU?
How can LSU expel a student for something that has nothing to do with them and did not happen on campus? (I am guessing it didn't happen on campus, by the looks of it)

You know society doesn’t have any real problems to worry about when they get worked up over something like this.
Anyone who wants to ruin this girls life over this needs to have their phone examined for every text, picture, or comment they have ever made so we can see if they are “racist”. I’m guessing every one of them will have something that could be interpreted that way since the standard is so low.

I agree 100%. It seems that anytime somebody says anything about a monkey or ape black people go into a hissy fit, as you said, they must have been thinking they look like monkeys. You will never see any white asian Mexican or any other race get so upset over somebody using the term monkey or ape I guess they don't think they look like monkeys.
I do agree that black people should stop thinking that they look like monkeys, because that is racist.

If black people are offended by it, they’re giving attention to the racial stereotype comparing them to monkeys. I doubt that was that girls intent.

BTW, She is definitely real dumb to take a picture like that and post it to her Snapchat story, but I would kill my "friend" if they then sent it out to other people to the point where the Fat Panther is now talking about it.
