They have tenure. They can be lazy with no fear of accountability. Work ethic is declining in this country.

I have a son who's my world, but I really hope he uses college like I did...to find himself and see what it is to do by yourself. I think I'm overly sensitive to this kinda thing cause I broke away and did great. My sister allowed herself to slip into a really codependent really unhealthy dynamic with my mom...which my mom ate up.... it's taken her years to overcome that and finally come into her own. Her and my mom are still not really ok...but that's extreme I know.
Point is... a freshman in college should be finding themselves...texting parents everytime a class is cancelled seems like alot
