That’s what trump understood that McCain and Romney didn’t.

She, like thousands of others, has gotten caught up in virtue signal arms race
Maybe but until people like her face real consequences it will only get worse.

It's time for conservatives to fight back. Email her boss and file a complaint.

quote:Again, she went overboard on her virtue signaling. No denying that.
She asked for names of random teenagers/young adults she doesn’t know so that she could blackball them from her class for no verifiable reason other than the Twitter mob told her to...that’s despicable.

Well you and your principles can eat a shite sandwich, as you’re bringing a water gun to a gun fight.

arms race. You and I both don't agree with what she did. Her intentions were probably not as screwed up as you make them out to be as I honestly don't think she overanalyzed her response
I'd agree with you up until she gave marching orders for people to scour Twitter and bring her more names

I honestly find it sickening that people would spend so much time trying to get other people fired for their mistakes simply based on where they fall on the political spectrum. I want that trend to stop not fight fire with fire when we both live in the same damn building. Since we are using analogies now.

She threatened this student, and then wanted to go after others. I don’t understand how you can look at that as anything other than vile.
Would you give business to someone who threatens you for your beliefs? Not to mention what she was proposing is against the law.

If she worked in private industry and publicly threatened her clients, would she have a job....yes or no.

Well enjoy your principles when left gets control and starts putting people in jail for thought crimes...like every totalitarian regime in history.

quote:Probably not. But if a business told me to get out because of my beliefs, I would probably just leave and not go back. I wouldn't burn the business down.

quote:Yep. Which I'm sure she's been informed from LSU.

They would probably be just as thrilled if you posted a video of yourself yelling "I hate n*****s." Yet you probably want this kid to still be allowed to go to school and get a job wherever he wants right?
Again, I'm not defending either's actions. I'm just not about cancel culture only when it suites my "side."
private employer? up to the boss as to whether you work there for doing that. I don't care, it's literally boss's private business.
public university? come on man. if a kid satisfies the objective GPA/ACT criteria he or she gets in. It's not a public university's place to decide whether an 18 year old is a "nice enough" person to go to school there.

Wrong. I’d feel the same way of someone on my side of the political spectrum was calling for informants to end the academic career of other students.
