LSU not ranked as a party school any longer?

Heard a list on the news this morning of the top party colleges and freaking Wiscon was #1 and LSU wasn't even on the list.
I remember when we used to constantly be in the top 5.

I think that is a good thing considering how much the state hasn't been giving LSU funds...so they have to be self-supportive.

The apex was in the mid to late 90's. Anybody who knows what the frick they're doing when they party knows that.

LoL. The "apex" was in the late '80's when Playboy started the famous Party School rankings and refused to rank LSU because "professionals were not allowed on the list."
The writer recounted how he attended a fraternity drinking contest at Murphys that was eventually won by a sorority that crashed the event. I still have that article some place. Great times, nickel and quarter beer, Drinking with Lincoln and the Fred's Screwdrivers vs Sports Piledrivers price war.

All generations believe their era was wild/wildest,etc..
But, the Ben Wynne story of 1997 started the end of LSU as a partying school to it's former degrees. That, and MADD seemed to take a special interest in La's 18 yr old drinking laws.
Playboy magazine and other mags used to have Top 20 Party School lists, where LSU was either #1 or not listed, then marked with an asterisk mentioning that this list doesn't rank Pros with the Collegians.
Many generations consider LSU's party heydays between the late 1950s and the end of the 1980s.
College kids today would be blown away by the crowds of South Seas during the 1980s.
But, the Ben Wynne story of 1997 started the end of LSU as a partying school to it's former degrees. That, and MADD seemed to take a special interest in La's 18 yr old drinking laws.
