I stole a Robin Hood book from the LSU library that was printed in 1934 in German covered in Swastikas, they had tons of classics bound the same way. When I went back up to the stacks to find more they were all gone.

You do realize that symbol was around before the Nazis highjacked it, right?

haha you are an idiot and don't know history!!!!

Nazi swastikas are at an angle.

quote:

he Swastika (also known as the gammadion cross, cross cramponnée, or wanzi) (as a character: ? or ?) is an ancient religious symbol that generally takes the form of an equilateral cross, with its four legs bent at 90 degrees.[1][2] It is considered to be a sacred and auspicious symbol in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism and dates back to before 2nd century B.C.

Hitler wrote in Mein Kampf that the Nazis’ emblem needed to be both a “symbol of our own struggle” and “effective as a large poster,” and the swastika, as the nationalist movements were using it, fit the bill.

I'm just confused why 1933 LSU would be using Hinduism symbols?

The swastika was used by a lot more groups than just Hindus, one of which being U.S. infantry divisions.
