Yeah neither. Do something productive with your life instead of spending it being a professional liar and a leech on society.

You really think the world needs another lawyer?

Yes there are--there are thousands of them. All society could ever need. A good Leech is still a leech. And in the end all they do is breed more leeches.

Really? You should make that pitch to Glenn Ford. See what he thinks.

There are bad lawyers. Our system is flawed. Good lawyers make good justice. And it happens all the time without you ever hearing of it.

You had bad experiences? Sorry. Malign my profession all you want. I know what it is.

You aren't much of a lawyer if you think just adding more lawyers to the mix is a solution. More lawyers means more bad lawyers too.

Like I said, there's plenty enough good lawyers out there already. All society needs. We don't need a single one more.

The solution is to create no more lawyers for many years.

Go count the LSU grads that are partners at Kean Miller and Phelps Dunbar, then go count the Tulane grads........

Well - the problem is he said Baton Rouge OR New Orleans. Baton Rouge, no question, LSU dominates - but in New Orleans there are a significant number of Tulane and Loyola firms and these definitely outnumber the mixed or LSU-heavy firms.

As a 2L at Tulane who is from LA, this guy sounds like a douche and is probably not in the top of the class

This is such a stupid view, I'm honestly unsure where to begin with it.

ETA: Just read more of your posts in the thread. One of "those" guys. Nevermind, as you were.

LSU likes to put students in cages and poke them with sharp bamboo poles. Tulane will be much more pleasant.

That was mostly true in my day.

LSU grads come out like twitchy pit bulls and will stomp the nuts off of most lawyers, but only in litagation. For transactional work they are not as good as Tulane.

Agree with first part. Don't agree with second. And I'd spell it "litigation," even as an LSU grad.

quote:

Also the network of LSU grads who spent three years in the suck is unbreakable.

That is definitely true of your first year section (or at least was). You'd bend over backwards to help a section mate.

quote:

They can be a Band of Brothers that will lie cheat and steal, to help each other, judges, lawyers, clerks, Supreme Court Justices, whatever.

Absolutely not true.
