There are like three white names on that petition
They’re all too stupid to realize all of their heroes are divisive, corrupt scumbags. Scalise isn’t perfect, but he’s about as likeable of a politician as possible, and was almost killed by one of the “tolerant” liberals these morons align with.

Pretty disappointing that LSU’s law center would let people like that in.
Well, with people such as Mari Fuentes, Chris Tyson, and Robert Mann in prominent university positions, I wouldn’t expect any less.

And they all watch CNN, listen to NPR, and rely on John Oliver for their nifty and snarky opinions of the week.
Without a doubt.

This smacks of Tyson to me. It wouldn't shock me if he had a hand in this, but this is more likely just a result of the new Diversity committee the law center formed at the behest of the Accreditation people. The makeup of the diversity committee is exactly what you would expect: a perfectly proportioned group of all demographics except for straight white males.

I’ve pretty much not given a shite since a few of my friends forced out Weiss... and I didn’t even like the guy.

It does not.
Have you met Tyson or sat in any of his classes? His Common Law Property class was basically a daily game of Seven Degrees of Separation from Institutional Racism. Literally every single concept and lesson was somehow tied to institutional racism. The guy is really intelligent and a great lecturer, but when you're a hammer, all you see are nails. That guy simply cannot objectively view any issue without doing so through lenses of institutional racism.

That is what has always struck me about him is how he seems to be brilliant, but is just so lost in liberal loony world he can't see anything outside of an extreme left view.

I have very similar feelings regarding the ouster of Weiss and the firing of Tiger Band Director Roy King. Both were meh at their jobs at best, but really cared for their institutions, gave their all for it, did their best to instigate a culture change (absolutely needed in the law school's case, not so in Roy's), were completely unfairly trashed and thrown out, but replaced with people who I feel are actually better suited for the job. Dr. Llinas and Dean Galligan are both awesome at what they do.
The Old Guard simply refused to get with the times that the law school's policies of being an adversarial meat grinder that the few students who survive to be alumni want nothing to do with as soon as they graduate because they hated it so much was killing their reputation beyond the state and knee-caping their potential donor base. They needed to change their attitudes now that the school wasn't some open-enrollment, $200/semester law school.

I'm really disappointed in some of those names, but I'm not surprised. I wanted to believe they were smart enough to see through this lame, thinly supported smear, but alas...

Wow.... Im in law school and apart of this class. And this is bullish*t. I didn't even know he was going to be the speaker but now I want him to be it even more.

I’m not graduating law school but will be a part of this semesters ceremonies and I was actually considering going to his commencement speach before the different ceremonies when I heard the announcement earlier today.
I wonder who these snowflakes would like to speak? Not someone that has a good chance to Become speaker of the House and is an LSU grad? Na, that doesn’t make sense

I'm in the middle when it comes to politics, but this is why I just can't associate with liberals often. They keep pushing me further to the right.
They just tend to be much more hypocritical and whiny when they don't get their way. They preach tolerance but that tolerance does NOT include ideas, opinions, and values that differ from theirs.
Where was the petition from the conservatives last year when it was John bel Edwards who spoke... There was none. The snowflakes had one of their own so they didn't complain either.
