My very first was Litvinoff. Looking back, Litvinoff, Cheney, Maraist. And others. Didn’t even know what kind of legends we were learning from.

Hargrave was another legend.

You live in your mother’s basement, you ignorant frick.

Get out of here. This thread is for people with an education and drive to succeed, not tittie babies that can’t survive on their own. Carry your cripple minded arse.

For some reason I always thought of him like a Colonel Sanders type guy. It’s sad to see all of the leading Louisiana scholars dying. I remember the third floor almost felt like ghosts were walking around those halls and in those rooms.

I edited out my stories involving other great legends of LSU law. Those were the days...

That’s what old people do. They die.

Litvinoff was still smoking when I had him for first year Contracts. I think he finally stopped smoking in class after that. Irregardless, as Maraist would say, his office was a cloud of smoke the entire time I was there.

Maraist, Mengis, Litvinoff, Levaseur--those were some legendary legal minds.

I had Litvinoff when the infamous John Houseman "Paper Chase" incident occurred. Houseman was at LSU giving a lecture/speech. They arranged for him to get to Litvinoff's class early, and when Litvinoff entered, Houseman started doing the scene from The Paper Chase about giving the student a dime to go call his mother.

I would put Spaht in the category of legendary legal mind, too. I was privileged to have taken three classes with her.

The thing I remember him saying the most was: " 'Irregardless'...as they say in south Louisiana..."

From that point on I made sure to say irrespective or regardless, but never 'irregardless'.
