Maybe DJT’s pool guy was in charge of that project too?

The pool guy isn't the problem, the people who cut up the lining because their pussies hurt over who is President is the problem.

Wouldn't a retaining wall work better for both erosion and to slow the refill?

It looks like crap now, but at least it doesn't look like the water needs to be mowed.

It would look like a man-made lake and have no appeal.

Admittedly the alternative just causes the same problems in 30 years.

But a seawall doesn't last forever either.

I disagree. I think a retaining wall deep enough to allow plenty of room for pedestrian traffic (runners, bikers, dog-walkers, etc) in both directions could be quite appealing, especially with some sort of french or spanish influenced street lighting and fencing.

Personal preferences aside, I would rather see the push going toward whatever is going to allow for the longest timeframe between completion and the next time it needs to be dredged.

The silt retention weir to remove sediment in the incoming water to the lakes would have helped, but Sasaki isn’t doing them apparently.

There were piles multiple stories high that were shredded and re stacked, multiple times. So from that aspect..... a lot of good was done.

How is that a good thing?

That’s all fine and dandy but unless Todd Graves or some consortium of philanthropists pays for it, the money isn’t there.. they’ve already had to push and scale back portions of the original plans..
