A professor who knows the ropes can tell if someone is cheating. When I taught college, I asked enough questions of the students that I knew who understood and knew the material.

They should embrace being “an experience” rather than posing as intellectual authorities. STEM studies should be forced to split from universities and create their own entity recognized by higher education. Everything else is a tiered barrier of entry for the experience. Lowest tiers being your liberal arts, higher tiers being law school, business etc.
