Time for them to wreck our pockets again

There will be a lazy river that spells LSU. Quit being selfish.

That i wont get to take advantage of because i will graduate before it's done

i paid for a parking garage and union renovation when i was at LSU. I also graduated 4 years before I got to see any of them complete. Oh and I've also funded the new rec center that hasn't been built yet. They started hitting us up for that back in 02

Poor babies get all their tuition paid for by TOPS but still have to pay a whopping $2,000 a year in fees and books. My God when will the cost go down?!
When buying something that costs $10,000 a year and someone agrees to pay $8,700 of that cost each year for me, I'm gladly paying the difference!
This new generation fricking sucks. frickING SUCKS! And they vote TOO!

I hate these fees. Pay a bunch of extra $ for things you'll never use.

Unless you voted against raising student fees when that went to a vote to the student body, don't complain.

sounds like you are the one thats crying. and you would cry to if you were being affected.
Why is there an increase in fees that are nontuition related? I don't remember those fees being that big of a deal back in 2000-2004.

I never voted in student council elections because they are utterly worthless

I emptied my life's savings for my final year (around $26,000 thanks to out of state). They wouldn't give me in-state tuition 3 separate times because they knew I wouldn't be staying in Louisiana to work after graduation. Oh well...when you're that close to finishing, there's no reason not to. I'd regret that forever
Luckily I'm more than making up for it now

Umm, no.

I paid for the complete renovation of the Student Union and never got to use it. I voted for the student fee increase, too. I saw the value in raising fees to fund renovating that 1970ish union when the rest of the SEC was waaaaay ahead of us in that. Never complained then and haven't since.

To bring parts of campus that STUDENTS use daily up to par with the rest of the SEC. (see the REC Center)

Because that was when the rest of the SEC schools only began to start renovating student facilities. After a few years of that, LSU started to look really old and outdated. Students finally had enough and student government came up with proposals, put it up to a student body vote, and the majority of the students (who actually voted) voted for it.
It's not hard to figure out.

If anything they need to increase fees even more.

Those utterly worthless elections determined who was in leadership positions who propose student fee increases to better the facilities that students use every day.
